ORDER:

The following notification will be published in the Extra-ordinary issue of Andhra Pradesh Gazette dated 7th October, 2002.

NOTIFICATION

The following amendment to the Andhra Pradesh Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989 issued in G.O.Ms.No: 216 TR&B (Tr. II) Department, dated the 7th August, 1989 and published at pages 1-315 of the Rules supplement to Part -I Extra-ordinary issue of the Andhra Pradesh Gazette, dated the 25th August, 1989, which it is proposed to be made in exercise of the powers conferred by section 111 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 (Central Act 59 of 1988) having been previously published as required under sub-section (1) of section 212 of the said Act issued G.O. Rt. No: 727, TR&B (Tr. II) Department dated 4th July, 2002 and published in the Rules Supplement to part-1 Extraordinary issue of the Andhra Pradesh Gazette, dated: 12th July, 2002.


AMENDMENT

In the said rules, for sub-rule (2) of rule 340, the following shall be substituted, namely: -

"(2) Every entrance and exit of public service vehicle other than a motor cab, and a stage carriage intended to ply on town service routes and short distance mofussll service routes (ordinary), shall be provided with doors to prevent the passengers from falling out".
