ORDER:

The following notification will be published in the Extra-ordinary issue of Andhra Pradesh Gazette dated 17th August, 2002.


NOTIFICATION

The following draft amendment to the A.P.M.V. Rules, 1989, issued in G.O.Ms.No. 216, Transport R&B (Tr. II) department dated the 7th August, 1989 and published at pages 1-315 of the Rules supplement to part-I Extra-ordinary issue of the A.P. Gazette dated the 25th August, 1989, which is proposed to make in exercise of the powers conferred by section 65 of the M.V. Act, 1988(General Act 59 of 1988) is hereby published for the general information of persons likely to be affected thereby, as required by sub- section(1) of section 212 of the said Act.

2. Notice is hereby given that the said draft will be taken into consideration after the expiry of thirty (30) days from the date of its publication in the A.P. Gazette and any objection or suggestions which may be received from any person with respect there to before the expiry of the period specified above will be considered by the Government of A.P. - objections and suggestions should be addressed to the Prl. Secretary to Government. Transport R& B Department, Secretariat, Hyderabad in duplicate.

AMENDMENT

In the said rules, for rule 145, the following shall be substituted, namely: -
"145 POWERS OF REGIONAL TRANSPORT AUTHORITY! DELEGATION: -

The Regional Transport Authority may e General or special order delegate to all Motor Vehicles inspectors and all the assistant Motor Vehicles Inspector in charge of check posts, the power to grant or refuse temporary permits under Clause (C) of sub-section (1) of section 87 of the Act, in respect of goods vehicles and public services vehicles, of different categories like motor cabs, maxi cabs and contract carriages of Home State and other States, for performing a specified journey for the period not exceeding seven (7) days or thirty (30) days irrespective of the number of journeys on all National State Highways with a deviation up to thirty (30) kms.
